Aspects of Kings Park Mural 2022
The 2022 Everlasting Kings Park Festival runs from 16 – 30 September but events by volunteers and local tour operators can fascinate and amaze for the entirety of the month.
The theme for this years installation is ‘RESILIENCE’ of both people and the environment.
Jane has been inspired by the many Friends groups that help protect and maintain the precious remnant bushland spaces in the Perth Metro area. The featured areas include not only Kings Park but the Beeliar Wetlands, Wireless Hill, Star Swamp, Trigg Bushland, Underwood Avenue, Shenton Bushland, Bold Park, Inglewood Triangle, Dianella, Brixton Street Wetlands, Koondoola Bushland and Lightning Swamp. These spaces create essential bushland corridors for native wildlife such as endangered black cockatoos.
Jane regularly visits these bushland areas to photograph and draw the plants and animals. You can visit these areas and more via the Urban Bushland website or click the links for more info:
