Colour study from Baigup Wetlands series of on location paintings. Created at the peak of summer heat, low tide. Baigup Wetlands is locationed in the Perth Metro area in the City of Baywater. This painting captures the complexity of how the wetlands grow, plants grow intertwined with unclear boundaries yet perfectly accomodate each other. Changing water levels creates different experiences of reflected light. The number of mosquitos also affects the time taken to create these studies on location. Some times being more forgiving than others.
