This Banksia plant lives in a patch of native bushland called the Inglewood Triangle located close to Jane’s studio. This painting belongs to a series of expressive paintings that express how Banksia menziesii flowers draw in both pollinators and human viewers using colour and wonder. Pollinators are essential for the ongoing survival of the bushland. However, in modern times, the survival of the bushland also relies on human intervention through dieback prevention, replanting and monitoring.

Reproductions of this painting are available through Future Shelter as lighting and art prints.
