I’m standing on the riverbank of Warren River, peering into the flowing water. I don’t know what to focus on, the bright reflective surface or the undercurrent flowing beneath. My focus moves involuntary between sharp detail and blurry blended colour. Human memory works in a similar way. As we move through out lives we have to chose whether we focus on what we experience on the surface or try and work out what is happening beneath the surface. The surface is always moving and changing the focus for us.
