This artwork explores my experience of large boulders near Cape Leewin that have weathered over time. My trip to Hobart and Augusta inspired this interest in ancient rocks and the weight they hold for us. They will still be here even once we have passed. As a mum and artist I find my time is constantly weathered and this painting is also a comment on those frustrations. Weathering is a slow abrasive process, but the core of the boulder stands for thousands of years.
