Oil on linen painting by Jane Coffey inspired by the changing light and spinifex of Karijini National Park. Currently available to view at Future Shelter Gallery & Store.

Joffre Gorge Falls is located on the western side of the Karijini national Park. From the lookout you can see a spectacular curved waterfall forming a natural amphitheatre. This was a particular challenge to create the deep shadows that curve around the base of the waterfall. There was a great opportunity to contrast the textured, layered rocks with the flat almost graphic colours of the tree on the right.

Karijini NP is the traditional home of the Banyjima, Kurrama and Innawonga Aboriginal people.
