Painting of banded iron formations and cool reflective water found in Dales Gorge, Karijini National Park 2023.

Karijini National Park is a place of extremes.

When walking the gorges in Karijini National Park you find yourself endlessly wondering what will be around the next turn. However, you can only see as far as the edge of the next turn. You have to relax into letting the journey unfold until the end. The remote location means tension and risk is ever present, will you run out of daylight or water, will there be obstacles to overcome? You have to trust you are prepared. This parallels many of the journeys we take in life.

Karijini NP is the traditional home of the Banyjima, Kurrama and Innawonga Aboriginal people.
